One mess a homeowner in Long Island made with illegal fireworks

Karmajit Singh, 33 of Levittown has been arrested after police reported he allegedly gave a 11 year old child fireworks outside his home. Then Singh Allegedly told the child to light the fireworks but malfunctioned. What happened next was that multiple houses caught fire after fire sparked by the detached shed of the home.

Police arrested Singh and the child was released to a family member.

Singh was charged with arson, reckless endangerment, unlawfully selling fireworks to a person under 18, unlawful possession of fireworks, and child endangerment.

Tenants living on the second floor of Singh’s home is now without a place.

Meanwhile, in Suffolk County, Four people including a child were injured from fireworks and cars were set on fire. This is around 10pm at a home on Foxrun Court in Port Jefferson Station. All were watching fireworks when the incident occurred.
