One long court day for Nassau County involving vehicles

Monday is a long day with arraignments at the local Hempstead Court involving vehicle accidents.

The major one started on the Meadowbrook State Parkway on Friday after midnight where over five were taken to local hospitals after a vehicle overturned and the driver was arrested.

Before that a 23 year old male pedestrian died in Hempstead around 11:30pm in the vicinity of North Franklin Avenue and Centre Street. The driver was taken into custody and charged with DWI.

On Saturday morning, a single vehicle accident on the Southern State Parkway resulted in the death of a female, 19 after calls came in for a car that hit a tree near the Meadowbrook State Parkway exit.

In Floral Park, from the picture, a driver was taken into custody after going the wrong way on Jericho Turnpike and Flower Avenue on Saturday night after 11pm and crashing into multiple parked vehicles on the eastbound until overturned. The driver has been charged with DWI, reckless endangerment, wrong way crash, resisting arrest and slew of charges. A passenger inside the vehicle was also injured after a witness says the driver was on a ride share app.

All incidents remain under investigation.
