One group insist continues on no casino in Flushing

On Sunday, a group against the possible Flushing casino held a rally where the meet was in front of the library on Main Street and Kissena Blvd around 2:30pm. Then they marched to the town hall where a meeting was held. The same group will continue to have rallies in the coming weeks with announcement of dates.

Meanwhile, another group is in favor of casinos and dreaming of a football stadium making Flushing with soccer, baseball and a casino as the prime hot spot for NYC's entertainment venue.

The main group against the casino is Flushing Tenants Alliance who has been vocal by attending all the meetings with protests.

A local elected official is demanding to speed up the process and issue the licenses already instead of waiting until December when the announcement takes place.

The casino already has the support of Queens Borough President and other elected officials in majority.
