One dead after fatal vehicular accident in Syosset

The Nassau County police reported a fatal vehicular accident on May 22 at 7:10am in Syosset. According to detectives, a male driver operating an ambulette stopped on the shoulder southbound of Route 135, south of Jericho Turnpike and was conversing with the operator of a second vehicle when a third vehicle sideswiped both vehicles and the ambulette driver. The male victim was pronounced at scene. The operator of the third vehicle remained at scene. The investigation is ongoing.
