Ok street vendors happy up next cyclists in NYC

The NYC Mayor confirmed no more criminal crackdown on cyclists of all kinds from citibike to ebike to delivery in NYC. Still vehicle drivers are screwed anyway so try pedal and some more pedals.

Starting March 27, the NYPD will not be enforcing cyclists for minor traffic offenses as a criminal summons. This means the same traffic tickets as regular offences like vehicle drivers.

The Mayor quoted, "Every New Yorker on our roads, whether driving or biking, deserves to be treated fairly. By ending criminal summonses for low level traffic offenses, we’re ensuring cyclists and e-bike riders, including those who deliver our food and groceries are treated like others on the road."

The NYPD did not issue a statement on the change from criminal to civil offenses.

We need more people to pedal and walk around the city and less use of vehicles.
