Ogdensburg male arrested for promotion of a sexual performance by a child and possession of a sexual performance by a child

On 02/20/25, the New York State Police Troop B Computer Crime Unit arrested JASON R. SIAS, 47, of Mechanic Street, Ogdensburg, New York on one count each of Promotion of a Sexual Performance by a Child and Possession of a Sexual Performance by a Child.  The investigation was initiated by an online storage platform reporting to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) child exploitation material had been stored on the reporting platform in November 2024. 

SIAS was arraigned in City of Ogdensburg Court and was remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash/ $2,000 bond bail.  SIAS is to reappear in City of Ogdensburg Court on 02/27/25.  The investigation is still ongoing.
