Off duty NYPD cop committed suicide in Hicksville

Police confirmed an NYPD cop identified as Kevin Preiss, 53 of Hicksville died after he was found home with self inflicted gunshot wound around 10pm on June 26. He was assigned to the Bronx's 50th Precinct. He is a 24 year veteran.
