Oakland Gardens nurse busted for stealing medical devices from Northwell Health at Manhasset

Police are at Oakland Gardens reporting Rafael Hung, 42 was arrested for allegedly stealing surgical equipment worth over $34,000 from Northwell Health System in Manhasset. He was arrested on April 26 at his residence and police are still collecting stolen items. He was employed as a nurse at the Surgical Intensive Care Unit in March 2011 and has been terminated. The investigation started in August 8, 2016 until February 16, 2017 when items were gone missing. Police reported the items stolen were sold on Ebay and traced to the Oakland Gardens address. His next court date is June 7.
