November 16 is the announcement date

Aside from yesterday's in-person and early voting, mail-in ballots and military ballots from overseas will be counted by the final date which is November 16. Then the official results will be announced for all candidates. Until then, Laura Curran, the current Nassau County executive, refused to concede. Same with India Walton in Buffalo. Another watch is Brooklyn's 43rd NYC Council District which is neck to neck between Democrat and Republican candidates.

As for both Nassau and Suffolk, the DA's race has declared victories for the GOP.
