Not resting until the casino comes to Flushing

Now the NY Mets owner is in the news more than before and his mission is the casino license in Flushing.

Along with Hard Rock International, more plans are announced to add affordable housing in Queens by adding more real estate developer companies.

The latest announced is with Slate Property Group to bring 450 new apartments in the vicinity of Citi Field. This is near the proposed Metropolitan Park at the parking lot, 54-19 100th Street. This will bring over $1 billion in economic benefits to the Flushing area.

All the candidates in the upcoming election are running on housing shortage campaigns and this is an edge for the Mets owner to lead the pack on the casino license.

More plans around the Citi Field will be announced in the coming weeks and who will be endorsed by the Mets owner.

Time will tell.
