Not a good day for Kew Garden Hills today

The NYPD reported multiple shots fired on Jewel Avenue between Kissena and Parsons Blvd around 3pm today. Local civilians ran into safety around the local public housing complex which is Pomonok. ESU recovered shell casings.

Police say two suspects are now holed up in the area.

Queens College security is also on alert nearby.

Around 4pm, the NYPD closed off the intersection of Main Street and Union Turnpike reporting a police vehicle and a school bus. EMS transported the injured to local hospitals. Rush hour delay is clearing up at the intersection.
