No no no bad bad bad bill launched in NY

A group of Republican members in the NYS Assembly Minority Conference introduced a bill, A6088. This is to require the MTA to hire a certified independent accounting firm to perform a forensic audit of the MTA. This is going to be blocked by the Democrats which have the majority in NY and the Governor won't sign it.

Meanwhile, the MTA was all happy to announce the new R211T which is an open gangway subway car from Queens to Brooklyn under the G line. Three more will be added in the next two months as per MTA until all NYC subway cars are equipped with new cars since they are all 25 years old.

The NY Governor will be introducing more programs to support MTA which is now cash strapped in need of new funding in the coming weeks using taxpayers. Not to list agencies from nonprofit to lobbyist firms supporting MTA to release more taxpayer funds.
