Nice try but way too much patrol around Flushing

As the US Open is underway since August 18, less than five victims reported mugging and robberies around the Flushing Corona vicinity. Police say most of the incidents occurred overnight due to all programs closed at the tennis stadium inside the Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Some want to hang out late and that's when 911 was called but hey it's NYC, the safest city in the world according to local part time elected officials.

The NYPD reported the latest armed robbery occurred near the Flushing Bay and College Point Blvd this morning around 5am.

From daytime to evening, the NYPD is all over the vicinity on high patrol with K-9, drones etc.

Even ticket scammers are feeling the crunch.

Last year, for the first time, the tournament recorded more than 1 million attendees, with both Fan Week and the main draw seeing record numbers.
