Next cash cow had mixed reaction from bus riders

Speed cameras success. Now bus lanes.

Red color paving nonstop NYC.

The MTA which spent over $250 billion in the last ten years unaudited and announced the second redesign of bus routes had mixed reactions but mostly positive mainly in Queens.

As part of the second round of Queens bus redesign network, over 800,000 riders met with some routes busy while others weren't. Still the MTA customer service representatives listened to concerns and took notes to be submitted to the main offices.

Of 11 new routes, 7 were discontinued where stops have moved for longer walk but quick bus times.

It will take some time to adjust to the new paths where a total of 124 routes having 30 express lanes and 94 local ones.

What most people don't know is routes will soon have bus lanes to add more income for the city enforcing private vehicles by charging $50 to make up the loss of soon to the new fare of just $3 per trip from evaders. The new bus lanes on Hillside Avenue from Jamaica to northeast Queens are expected to generate $30 million from enforcement from parking to moving on bus lanes. The enforcement camera is equipped inside all buses to fine people.

In the coming weeks, the MTA will add more bus lanes around the city to enforce fines.

It's a win win for the NYC government and the MTA but loss to the private vehicle ownership.
