New spot replaced with hip sports bar in New Hyde Park

The location, 29 Jericho Turnpike formerly of The Hyde Away bad closed and replaced with Elsie Lane in New Hyde Park.

The new hip bar opened on January 18. The owner is Sal Mignano, Ryan Sipp and Bill Oxios. The name, Elsie Lane is named after Sipp's daughter.

The location opens around 11:30am for food and late for drinks. Next block is another long time bar, Micky Malone. Malone's neighbor, the Sikh Temple construction has started for development.

The temple is expected to be ready this year end.
