New lanes coming to Van Wyck Expressway

The NYS Dept of Transportation reported new lanes will be developed on Van Wyck Expressway. It is expected to start in 2023 and will cost the taxpayers with $1.2 billion dollars. This is part of Governor Cuomo's plan to make JFK easily accessible for travelers coming to NY. The route will be from JFK to Kew Gardens where it meet Jackie Robinson Parkway and Grand Central Parkway. As usual when the construction starts, traffic will be congested and delayed.
