New garbage trucks coming from the sanitation

No more back breaking tasks.

Soon, all New Yawkers will have to buy the new containers or face fines when the plastic bags are not allowed to be placed outside for garbage pickups. This will be in 2024 until 2026 when it’s all phased out.

The Sanitation Dept introduced the new vehicle that does the container pickup just like the Bounty towel commercial with The Quicker Picker Upper. Just roll to the truck and press the button. The truck will do the rest so workers don't have to lift them at all.

At the same time, the containers have wheels so dump garbage inside and roll to the sidewalk so homeowners don't have to lift and move.

The officials didn't disclose the cost of each new truck.
