New York state troopers arrest armed outlaw biker on southern state parkway

What started as a routine patrol quickly turned into a bold roadside arrest. On May 10th,2025 New York State Police Troopers encountered an armed and visibly affiliated member of an outlaw motorcycle gang. This occurred on the Southern State Parkway at approximately 2:10 a.m. when Troopers observed a disabled motorcycle on the westbound shoulder near Exit 18. Stopping to check on the welfare of the operator later identified as Aaron B. Morgan, age 45 of Queens only to discover much more than a mechanical issue.

Morgan, standing next to the motorcycle, was wearing a leather vest displaying Twister MC patches, a known outlaw motorcycle gang, along with a "1%" patch, and nunchucks attached to the outside of the leather vest. As they were conducting their interview, Morgan produced a set of metal knuckles from his vest pocket.

Recognizing the potential danger Troopers acted swiftly and placed Morgan under arrest. He attempted to resist, but thanks to the Troopers’ training, composure, and professionalism he was taken into custody without injury to Troopers or the suspect.

A small baggie containing an unidentified white powdery substance was also located on Morgan’s person. Upon conducting an inventory of the motorcycle, which Morgan said lost power, Troopers discovered a loaded Smith & Wesson handgun with 15 rounds inside. Morgan was transported to the New York State Police East Meadow Barracks, where he was processed and charges are pending.

Morgan was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd (C Felony), three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd (D Felony), one count of Resisting Arrest( A Misdemeanor), and one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th (A Misdemeanor). Morgan was arraigned at Nassau County Courts May 10th.
