Nassau County police issued press conference on the Levittown homicide

On Thursday, September 14, Nassau County police issued a press statement on the homicide in Levittown that happened on September 13 around 2pm. The dead woman has been identified as Loraine Pizzichemi, 83 of 706 Newbridge Road. Her grandson, 24 year was beaten and stabbed now remains in the hospital. After investigation, police arrested Benjamin Lopez, 23 of Blackbird Lane in Levittown and Deangelo Gill, 19 of Southern Parkway in Uniondale. Both are charged with second degree murder of Loraine after she was stabbed several times. Police reported both suspects went into the house with intent to kill Loraine after they felt they were ripped off from drug deals. The grandson whose name is withheld was using the basement as drug den selling around the neighborhood. Police also reported both suspects had intention to take everything from the basement after breaking into the home. The grandson arrived later and managed to dial 911. The investigation is ongoing since police are looking into the grandson's possible involvement. pic by NCPD.
