Nassau County police are advising victims of theft in supermarkets to come forth

The Nassau County police are still working on the case to bring forth for grand jury against Frank Rodriguez who is charged with 25 counts of Grand Larceny.

So far Rodriguez has been charged with thefts at these locations,

With the dissemination of this video, the Nassau County Police Department would like to remind everyone to always be attentive of their personal belongings while in public areas and to never leave purses or other valuables unattended.

Detectives request anyone that feels they may have been the victim of defendant Frank Rodriquez or a larceny in a similar fashion to please contact the Third Squad Detectives at 1-516-573-6353. All calls will remain anonymous.

According to detectives, several Grand Larcenies occurred throughout Nassau County in which elderly women were targeted while shopping at stores. The victims purses/credit cards would be taken from their shopping carts by a subject while they were distracted looking at store products. The subject would then leave the store and immediately make as many purchases as possible before the credit cards were cancelled.

After an investigation, the subject was able to be identified from security cameras as defendant Frank Rodriquez, 57 and was arrested by police at his apartment located at 8100 Shorefront Parkway, Rockaway Beach, Queens without incident.

Defendant Frank Rodriquez is charged with twenty-five counts of Grand Larceny 4th degree and four counts of Identity Theft 1st degree. He was arraigned on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
