Nassau County is one step closer to add cameras for school buses

A vote is expected to pass in Nassau County to equip county school buses with cameras. This way drivers passing the school buses on flashing yellow will receive a fine up to $250. It will start in September 2021 once the vote is passed on May 24 which is expected. 56 counties have the option to choose this program based on the agreement. This is already in enforcement in Suffolk County.
