Nassau County is all set to have a grand opening of a new precinct in Woodbury

Tomorrow at 11am, Nassau County is all set to open the newly constructed second precinct. This is located at 7700 Jericho Turnpike in Woodbury.

The ground breaking ceremony was held on November 13, 2023 after fire damaged most of the location.

Last July, it was open for services after operating out of a temporary trailer for locals.

This cost taxpayers $33.5 million and served Bayville, Hicksville, Jericho, Oyster Bay, Plainview, Syosset and Woodbury.

The grand opening tomorrow will be attended by Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman and Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder along with other local elected officials and community groups.

Ryder has a busy night after a domestic violence turned fatal in Carle Place last night that took him out of sleep and since then with press statements today and now the grand opening of the second precinct tomorrow.
