NYS Governor to allocate funds for Long Island

The NYS Governor announced $50 million for Long Island to combat crime despite shooting is down by 44% last year. Crime has decreased in Long Island but shoplifting continues to rise. 

This is part of the state budget to be allocated to Long Island. 

The Governor was in Glen Cove on Tuesday making the announcement.

The governor stated law enforcement agencies with more funding continue to reduce gun violence.
