NYPD retired officer shot dead in Glen Oaks

Glen Oaks - Union Turnpike and 246th Street an off duty NYPD officer died from self inflicted gunshot wound. The woman is a Glen Oaks Village Co-op resident. It happened in the Co-op parking lot. The woman took out her car and then shot herself with her own gun. Reported it was a retired officer. Union Turnpike between Commonwealth Blvd and 247th Street closed. Reported March 14 at 3:01pm.
