NYPD making arrests at the protest

Curtis Sliwa and a group of protesters are arrested just now during the protest on Hillside Avenue and 235th Street.

Also Hillside Avenue is closed for crowd control. This is a protest against migrants housed at Creedmoor.

One side has a small counter protestors but most of them left due to overwhelming crowds. Police confirmed counter protestors were also arrested.

Crowd are increasing at the spot with media and police.

Update - Now reporting the arrested were blocking Hillside Avenue after being told by cops they were disruptive with the traffic. All were charged with disorderly conduct and released with tickets to appear in court.
