NYPD issued warning for parents in East Elmhurst area

The NYPD released surveillance pictures of a suspect wanted for robbing little kids who are walking home from school in the East Elmhurst vicinity.

The latest incident was reported on October 24 where a victim, a 12 year old boy, was placed in a chokehold from behind and then removed his phone. This is on 100th Street and 25th Avenue.

A witness told police the suspect was seen heading to the shelter.

EMS treated the victim on the scene who was emotionally shaken.

Local residents are on alert of the issue and now many parents are walking their kids to and from schools to home.
