NYPD cop shot himself in Flushing

Police have closed off the Kissena Park vicinity of 164 Street in Flushing reporting an NYPD officer shot himself and dead. The 43 year old officer was a high ranking member working as a deputy inspector. He was found inside a vehicle by the park after 5:30pm. Area closed off for investigation. RIP Officer. Update - NYPD Deputy Inspector Denis Mullaney is identified as the 107th Precinct Commanding Officer.
