NYPD advising fake ConED workers during new meter installation

Finally ConED has announced no more meter readings and best yet, no more estimated bills.

ConED announced of installation of new smart meters between November 2018 to 2022.

The meter will be read remotely and never need a worker to access for reading.

For the year 2018 to early 2019, workers will install new setups on utility poles outside.

Starting July 2019, ConED and their contractors will start replacing inside homes and commercial buildings until June 2022 for Queens.

For this, ConED wlll notify customers in advance in writing with a postcard 3 months earlier and then a letter within 45 days before coming inside a premise.

NYPD advise all ConED customers to call before allowing a worker inside to confirm during new meter installation for safety purpose if a suspicious person involved.
