NYC to launch its own apps from vehicle accidents to employee scheduling

Starting this summer, NYC will introduce five apps on the phone. The first will showcase vehicle accidents, employee scheduling such as bus drivers to know weekly routes, employee's sick leave and time off, traffic conditions in NYC and complaint center for civilians to report any incidents such as assault or bus breakdowns. Oracle is contracted to provide the service for NYC. Add-ons using Facebook or Skype for communication is also in the works. This is in frustration due to volume calls to 311 and waiting time. It will work for both iPhone and Android.
