NYC subways are safe says the mayor

Common y'all let's go for a ride in the NYC subway! The NYC mayor stated today and insisted to all commuters that subways are safe. However, the MTA is pleading for more police officers after an off-duty subway conductor was slashed last night around 11:30pm in Brooklyn. This happened last night at the Cypress Hills station on the J line. The same night, another train operator in the 2 line was knocked out unconscious. 18 more assaults were reported involving civilian victims last night. The 500 personnel stationed in February have been relocated from subways after 4 people were stabbed with 2 dead. While MTA is pleading with the mayor to bring back more police personnel, the mayor stated NYPD is doing a great job and overall crime in the subways has gone down.
