NYC public school positivity rate is 0 28

The NYC mayor closed all public school despite the positive rate for all is 0.28%. However, the city's entire 7 day average ratio is 3.0% and the mayor opted for schools to close despite parent's objections.

According to the governor who quoted this, "We're not seeing spread in the schools. You see a very low percentage of positivity in the schools."

One asked the question, "So why close the schools?"

The governor replied, "Well because the agreement the local school districts consulted their parents, the teachers at the time, the teachers union at the time, and they came up with an agreement."

According to the mayor's office, there is inadequate staffing, substitute teachers and working to setup testing for in-person.
