NYC prepares for the second wave of COVID with almost 1 billion in PPE

The NYC mayor stated , "A second wave is at our doorstep, and we're taking zero chances on preparedness. New York City has stepped up so our frontline heroes and healthcare workers will have what they need to save lives.?

This came after a press statement of a possible second wave of COVID in NYC and the mayor's office confirmed around $900 million of personal protective equipment has been acquired from various vendors for hospitals. So far, there are 45,729,651 isolation gowns, 58,058,000 surgical masks, 9,356,480 N95 masks, 5,855,068 face shields, 30,413,300 nitrate gloves and 948,050 goggles. The mayor says it's not enough. However, each hospital must submit the requirement of equipment every 90 days and some have not done so and are awaiting for the paper works.
