NYC never says no to love

The NYC Deputy Mayor during a press brief today stated that migrants are taking advantage of the right to shelter law along with other benefits and the city can’t say no to anyone legally. Meanwhile the NYC Comptroller rejected a $432 million no bid contract with a single company for migrants services which is a close ally of the Mayor. This is due to lack of expertise, vetting and qualifications.

The Mayor will continue with the same company under emergency power.

From other city officials, more organizations have applied for migrant services with the Comptroller’s Office awaiting approval.

As for Creedmoor, some of the migrants are moving to Long Island City after the city announced a former office building with 5 floors will hold up to 1000 with a first floor for recreation and cafeteria. This is the 16th shelter for migrants in the city and it’s Austell Place in LIC. This is a booming area for delivery jobs around the clock.

As for arrests, police are told not to make any arrests inside the migrant shelters due to deportation risks but to alleviate the issue with security guards.
