NYC mayor hates parking spaces

The NYC mayor during his regular radio talk with Brian Lehrer clearly stated his intention of outdoor dining is to eliminate parking spots. The mayor stated "repurposing parking spaces for restaurants is a good trade-off."

This is the same reason the mayor wants year around outdoor dining. At the same time, if there are 3 lanes, then 1 for outdoor dining expansion in assigned areas, 1 for bike lanes while the other 1 is for vehicles. Drop off will be assigned on designated spots. Already for Queens, Northern Blvd is expected to lose two lanes currently in the development phase.

The mayor doesn't do press brief on Fridays and usually out of town for weekend.
