NYC mayor announces new phases for school openings

The current standing by parents opted for blended learning is at 58%.

Monday, September 21 for pre-k, 3-k and district 75 schools to be open. K-5 and K-8 schools will open September 29. All middle and high schools to be open on October 1.

The DOE reported 4,500 substitute teachers will meet the current shortage of teachers. The UFT reported another 5,500 teachers needed to be complete. The substitute have previously worked for CUNY as adjuncts. The schools will also have graduate and education students to meet the goal. Another hires are from RECs.
