NYC launches Project Open Arms

The NYC Dept of Education announces Project Open Arms for more than thousands of children seeking asylum into public schools next month. The Texas Governor is not stopping the flow of migrants to NYC which is increasing on a daily basis. Despite the Mayor making announcements, the NY Governor has not said anything. Although the Mayor is vocal against the Texas Governor, but not the Biden Administration, over 25,000 flown to NY at night time. As of today, all migrants received vouchers for food, shelter and healthcare along with cash for expenses. Also, the city has secured 6,000 rooms at 11 different hotels across the city and the Dept of Social Services has filed an emergency declaration for 5,000 more rooms including Queens. The Catholic Charity has called the Biden admin for more funds and is now offering scholarships to attend their private schools.

Meanwhile, a group of people from NYC is heading to Texas to jump the bus with migrants heading to NYC to get free rooms on Times Square. The Mayor stated he wants to send people from NYC to Texas.

This is from the city, The Department of Homeless Services is seeking appropriately qualified vendors to identify and operate units for the City Sanctuary Intake and City Sanctuary Facilities programs that will be used to house asylum seeking families and individuals.
