NYC is going forth with two homeless shelters in Glendale and Ridgewood

The NYC Dept of Homeless Service is moving forth with two homeless shelters in Glendale and Ridgewood despite protests. The Glendale location is 78-16 Cooper Avenue and Ridgewood at 1616 Summerfield Street. Both locations are expected to open in 2020 that will house non-families but adults. According to the city, there are over 8,000 homeless people in Queens living in shelters.
