NYC beaches are now parks

Mayor de Blasio stated today all NYC beaches are parks. For Memorial Day weekend, beaches now called parks are open but no bathing suits, barbecue, outdoor activities such as volleyball and no gatherings including parties. Social distancing is required with masks. NYPD will be at the beaches to monitor all activities. The mayor stated beaches are not safe as beaches. However, Governor Cuomo can veto the mayor's decision if announced later.
Yes, noooo swimming allowed but the mayor stated afterward sitting is allowed.
