NYC Councilmember of northeast Queens stripped of his committee chairmanship

NYC Councilmember Barry Grodenchick has been stripped of his committee chairmanship by Council Speaker Corey Johnson without the approval of the ethic committee which is legal. Grodenchik came under attack after a female staffer complained of alleged hugging and kissing on the cheek and also comments on her weight reported it was over reaction. Grodenchik issued a press statement with apology but multiple sources inside City Hall reported Grodenchik has lost support from few fellow council members. Grodenchik's replacement of Parks and Recreation Committee will be announced soon.
Update - Barry Grodenchik has not been removed from his post as the Committee Chair of the Parks but from the Budget Negotiating Team.
