NYC Council voted for all around the clock for speed cameras

Today, the NYC Council voted and the result is 43-7 to have speed cameras live 24 hours, 7 days a week all year long.

Now it's up to the Mayor to sign it before heading to Albany.

At the moment, the DOT is gearing up to add more cameras in NYC from the current 750 zones to 1,000 in the coming weeks.

Another task is to raise the fine from the current $50.

The bill will head to Albany to pass before June 2 for approval.

Enjoy.
