NYC Council passed prohibition of marijuana testing for jobs

Today, NYC Council passed bills that will not allow marijuana testing for job hiring process. The current law allows testing for potential candidates for jobs in both private and public sectors. Another bill is banning the city from requiring marijuana testing for people on probation. The bills are drafted by Donovan Richards and Jumaane Williams. Mayor di Blasio has not stated whether to sign to become law as of yet.
