NHP resident arrested for the fatality in Williston Park

As per update from the NCPD, the driver of the fatality incident in Williston Park that struck a pedestrian has been taken into custody. The 74 year old female victim died on the scene. It happened on Saturday night on Hillside Avenue near Nassau Blvd. Police reported the alleged driver David Bernardi, 29 of New Hyde Park has been charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving while impaired.
