Multiple suspects in custody after home invasion in Douglaston

Around 2 am last night, police reported a home invasion in Douglaston. This is on 247 Street near 66th Avenue.

Three suspects, males, black, with weapons pushed their way into a home and took hostages of adults and children.

Police were alerted to the scene.

A woman and a child managed to escape before police arrived and the suspects were inside the home with hostages.

The NYPD used drones instead of a chopper due to visibility.

Shortly, all three suspects were taken into custody. Police recovered cash from one of the suspects.

A female, 71 and a male, 43 were assaulted but refused medical attention afterward.

From neighbor sources, the family owns a thriving business in Flushing and were followed from there.

The investigation continues.
