Muchas gracias to new market on Roosevelt Avenue

All bow to the Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez representing Roosevelt Avenue, the heartbeat of the Hispanic population for adding trash cans from Flushing border to Woodside. The new market is street vendors which are generating around 60% of the business over the actual stores serving Spanish food except fast food franchises. Street vendors are praising Cortez after complaining of the lack of the NYC Sanitation Dept not cleaning up on a daily basis. The Mayor's office stated garbage clean up has a routine with balanced routes on schedule around the city regardless of waste load. As of today, Roosevelt Avenue is the leading route for waste load on the sidewalk due to street vendors but pickup now need a new plan.

Many local retailers serving food are closing up due to higher rent raises and the new zoning to add residential units.

Local street vendors say their customers are migrants who go from place to place for work and then eat during their breaks.

However, the majority of the local residents are disappointed with Cortez for not taking out the real problems which are human trafficking, gang activities and open drug use.

Soon, Roosevelt Avenue will be one of the most expensive real estate zones due to the transformation of the possible casino coming to the area.
