Morning rush hour on the LIE delayed due to fatality

The NYPD reported this morning around 4:30am, a driver died on the Long Island Expressway after rear ending a tractor trailer. This is after College Point Blvd Exit in Flushing. The medical examiner transported the body of a 52 year old male from Queens to conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Traffic was closed on the westbound and re-opened around 6am for the rush hour to continue to Manhattan.

Highway CIS is continuing with the investigation.
