More volunteers heading to the cat sanctuary on Long Island

Thanks to a reader for the picture made.

First, the SCPD confirmed the investigation into what caused the fire is in full force at the cat sanctuary from the incident on Monday morning in Medford, Suffolk County.

Second, as of today, there is no record of how many cats were recovered from the fire that started around 7am. Volunteers are working around the clock tirelessly until all cats are accounted for.

Happy Cat Sanctuary on Dourland Road was the home of the late Chris Arsenault.

His friend and now working to help the cats, Lisa Jaegar told the media,

"This man lived in an 8x10-foot bedroom with a mini fridge and a microwave, every dime he made, everything he collected went toward the animals, he was selfless, he took nothing for himself, this is just so unfair."

Another volunteer with Lisa is also posting the update of cats

which can be seen this link,
