More than ten people homeless after house fire in Bay Shore

Firefighters were called to a home on Sunday, December 3 around 2am reporting a house fire on North Penataquitt Avenue. The fire started in the basement and then the first floor. Authorities reported the basement was divided into three units for three separate families. More than 10 people are homeless from the fire. The cause of fire is under investigation. American Red Cross was on the scene to place the people from home into temporary housing.
