More fees for taxi and ride share apps

Starting October 2020, riders heading to or leaving LaGuardia, JFK or Newark airports will have to pay additional for services. Yellow cab riders will be charged $1.75 from $1.25 for pick up and apps like Lyft and Uber will be added $2.50 for both leaving and arriving. For share riders, a charge of $1.25 for each pick up using apps. After the cap on companies from Uber to Lyft, yellow cabs were given some leverage after falling into hard times. However, app hail service companies have filed lawsuits against NYC and that's pending.
