More details on the Bellerose homicide

From neighbors, a lone suspect, male, black who is believed to be a vagrant was staying in the hotel on Jericho Turnpike and 249 Street was going door to door targeting residents to stay by making up sob excuses.

Once inside, the suspect was looking to stay as a month to month tenancy by going to the basement. This is where the owner of the home, a 77 year old male was found dead and the female, 78 upstairs after the house was allegedly set on fire.

The incident shocked the Bellerose Glen Oaks Floral Park community which occurred yesterday around 3pm.

Police are on a massive hunt for the suspect who is believed to be in the area.

Locals are advised to stay alert.
