More cameras to add in NYC for red bus lanes

Automated cameras to track down drivers using bus lanes will be expanded in NYC. Currently,16 routes are equipped with cameras. This includes parking on the bus stops, blocking lanes primarily the red colors and double parking. Also, the time will be unrestricted and not from the current 6am to 10pm. The first fine is $50, $100 for second offense and $250 afterwards. This is part of the buses to speed up to save commuters time which is announced only now. However, warning signs will be placed randomly.
